friday.

there's nothing like a Friday night spent at the softball field with most of your family. I don't think I will ever get tired of being thankful for things like this.

oh, and my little sister is a stud.

a trip in time.

We've had plenty of chances to explore the streets of Wilmington, North Carolina over the past two years. It's given us many, many opportunities to pick out our favorite shops and scenes and eats. But, somehow, we've always missed this one.

So much history and old-fashionedness (yes, I just made that word up) and beauty was tucked away in this quaint little shop. I could have spent hours in there, just exploring.

I wish I knew the story behind every piece. Where it came from, who it belonged to, if they lost it, if they gave it up willingly. I want to know everything.

It also makes me wonder what my treasures say about me.

What do yours day about you?

trinkets.

here are a few snapshots from my favorite store in Wilmington.

there is so much I love about this store, but its unique character is definitely my most favorite. there are things in this store that I'm pretty sure you can't find anywhere else in the world. one thing is certain about all of my visits: I always leave inspired. and I love feeling inspired. if I could live in a store, I'd pick this one every time.

happy Monday from the lover-of-all-things-beautiful-in-a-simple-sort-of-way.

may you find magic in the simple today everyday.

month-iversary.

I married my best friend two months ago from today. Humor me while I re-live a few of my favorite moments from our perfect day.

Also, enjoy another sneak peak of our wedding pictures! :)

Mmmmm, still makes me giddy. I love being Mrs. Bargeron.

happy two month-iversary, Teesh!

There is no one else I'd rather celebrate all the big and little moments in life with.

year two.

two years ago today, Savannah Bargeron became Savannah Childress. It was a gorgeous outdoor wedding on the most beautiful September day.  And Savannah, well, she was timeless.

It was the perfect day that every bride dreams about when she closes her eyes.

happy anniversary, Savannah and Andy!

I hope that your life together continues to get better and better as the years pass. It's my prayer that you never stop seeing the good in each other, never stop kissing goodnight, never stop sharing your deepest secrets, and never, ever stop loving each other with all your hearts.

we remember.

and we will never, ever forget.

"Though ten years have passed, the wounds are still present, the emotions still raw. You have always carried the memory of that day with you, and in its aftermath, you have shown a strength and courage that embodies the character of America."

#bargeronbucketlist

We, the newly-married Bargerons, sat down one night and created a list of all the things we want to do/accomplish before our time here on this beautiful place is up. I've always had a list of things in my head that I've wanted to do, but doing it with the person you love is going to be SO much more fun. Currently, our list is over fifty items long, and I'm confident that it will continue to expand as we discover new, neat things to see and do.

We've already checked off our first item,  which  just so happened to be the first on my personal list, too. My sweet husband planned this outing for us over a year ago, and picked this weekend for us to do it because of what it means to us. On the anniversary of our eighth year of doing life together, we traveled to Charlotte, North Carolina and rode in a hot air balloon as the sun was rising.

It. Was. Perfect.

He. Is. Perfect.

1. Ride in a hot air balloon at sunrise.

I can't wait to keep crossing things off our list, and share our once-in-a-lifetime stories with the people we love most. And relive them all. :)

eighth.

This was Teesh and I in June of 2003, during our last day of eighth grade. I had no idea when we took this picture together that it would be my most favorite possession for the rest of our lives. I know we've come so far since we first met, but little things like this just add so much character to our little story.

I remember walking out of my last class of the day and standing beside the lockers you see behind us, because he had written me a note earlier in the day asking me to meet him. He was always a shy little fella, and he took his timidness to a whole new level when word got out that he had a crush on me, so when hand-delivered yet another note to me (the sixth note he'd ever written me, by the way), I didn't care why he wanted to meet me. All I knew was that I needed to have my little disposable camera ready so I could have a keepsake to tuck under my pillow all summer long.

The summer flew by, of course, and we got to spend a couple days together. One of those days, in particular, just so happened to be the first time we kissed. July 16th, 2003, which was exactly eight years before we shared our first kiss as husband and wife.

I love our story. And I also love that today, September 9, 2011, marks the eighth year since he ran after me in the hallway after school on a Tuesday afternoon and asked me to be his girlfriend.

I'm the luckiest.

that joyous break of day.

documentation of the morning I became a Mrs.

it still makes me feels all giddy and anxious to look (and think) back on these once-in-a-lifetime hours with my best friends.
