table rock | year two.

It's been one year since Teesh and I made our commitment to hike a new trail each month. We achieved our goal, sometimes hiking twice or three times a month, and we were blessed with some beautiful sights along the way. Every season was different from the last, giving us unique scenes every time we hit the trails. I wouldn't trade this year for anything, and I'm already looking forward to our next three-hundred-and-sixty-five days of explorations and wanderings.

In honor of our adventure-versary, we went back to the place where our tradition began: the Table Rock Trail at Table Rock State Park. We didn't feel like dying near as much this go around, and we beat our overall time by a little more than half an hour. We conquered the three-point-five mile uphill trek in just under two hours, which made us jump up and down even in our exhaustion.

As crazy as it may sound, I can't wait to come back to this stunning place next year and the next and every year for the rest of our (able-bodied) lives. I love my husband and all of the happy memories we make with every step we take. Year two, we're ready for you!

cookin' out.

We had our second annual Bargeron + Henderson family cookout in honor of Father's Day at the Bargeron Bungalow last weekend. We joked and laughed and cooked and stuffed our faces and enjoyed each other's company for a few hours, which is something I wish could + would happen more often. 'Twas a glorious evening spent with some of my favorite people on the planet as we celebrated the incredible friends, fathers, and husbands in our lives.

sibling love.

"To the outside world we all grow old. But not to brothers and sisters. We know each other as we always were. We know each other's hearts. We share private family jokes. We remember family feuds and secrets, family griefs and joys. We live outside the touch of time."

braggin' on pop.

Remember that time my daddy showed out with a back flip on a six and a half foot bar? Yep, you read that right. He's still got it.

Age is just a number. Right, daddy-o?

will nye the tennis guy.

Wilber may not have won this tournament this weekend, but he sure did look handsome out there trying to. Wouldn't you agree?

guest room.

Several months ago, Teesh and I closed in the door between our living room and guest room. Renovations for our living room were completed and documented here, but it took us until just a couple weekends ago to finish up the guest room side of it. It only took us two and a half hours to paint the first coat on Friday night, and we got up early the next morning to paint the second coat. By the end of the day, we had the room reorganized and set up perfectly to our liking.

Allow me to introduce you to our cheery guest room that we've fallen in love with all over again.

If all these projects have taught me anything, it's that Teesh and I make one heck of a team! :)

gorges state park.

On Memorial Day, Teesh and I scooped Wilber up and made the two-hour trek to North Carolina for some adventuring in Gorges State Park. We chose the Auger Hole Trail, grabbed our hiking sticks, and kicked our hiking boots into high gear. We laughed, watched Will sprint up several hills while Teesh and I lagged behind, and made plans for the next time we go out adventuring together.

yardsale.

Documentation of two weeks ago from this very moment when we woke up at 4:30 AM, unpacked and set up until 7:30 AM, and raised six hundred and sixty-seven dollars for our upcoming trip to Haiti. That's right, I said $667! The Lord is so faithful, and we are beyond thankful to Troy, Angie, Savannah, Candie, and Trent for supplying us with so many goodies to sell and for helping us lure the customers in. I don't know if y'all know this or not, but the Bargerons are kind of the bomb. Just sayin'.

We sold about two-thirds of everything, and we kept the rest so we can have another yard sale in the upcoming weeks. Don't worry, we'll let y'all know as soon as we decide which Saturday we're going to do it again. So exciting!

On that same note, I am pumped and overjoyed to announce that we have our dates for the trip set in stone! We'll be leaving August 27th and returning October 1st. We're a little over halfway to our financial goal, and we're still believing that the Lord will provide. I will be updating y'all with any new information as we get it, so please feel free to stalk away.

trent.

Two weeks ago, this handsome fella graduated from K5 at Standing Spring Baptist Church. He was cuter than he's ever been in his little white cap and gown, and it was so precious to see his smiling face showing out for the audience. Maybe I'm biased, but I've got the best looking nephew in the whole wide world. Aunt Anna has never been prouder, and I'm certain the rest of the family would agree that they haven't been either. I could squeeze those little cheeks all day long!
