consumed.

How badly do we want to experience the glory and goodness of our great God. How often do our hearts break for those whose hearts have not been touched and changed by our Father? Do we really want transformation to sweep the nations, or is that just something we say out loud when we know people are listening? Do we even want transformation to sweep us? Transformation is hard; it turns everything upside down, and leaves us completely different than we once were. Transformation is not something that happens once and never happens again, but it occurs daily and cleanses us of all the things we once knew to be true and good. There are many ways to be transformed by countless things that seek to win our hearts and affections, but there is only One that leads to life. There is only One whose love and patience abound as we continually fall short of the glory of His name.

It is my prayer every day, but especially on a day that bears the name #ninetwelve, that we would make Habakkuk 3:3 the cry of our hearts: "...His glory covered the heavens, and His praise filled the earth." It is my prayer that we would lift our voices together as one on this day, and every other, and make salvation our deepest desire. Not for the sake escaping what we fear will follow without Christ, but so that others will experience the love of their Creator + Father +  Savior + Friend as we have. It's not what we are freed from as much as what we are freed toeternity with the One who loves us best.

As we pray together for the lost every morning and night, I challenge us all to grow so deeply in Christ that we long to simply sit at His feet and worship Him. I pray that there would be nothing and no one we desire more than Jesus. As Bethel Music so beautifully puts it: Jesus, for the sake of the world, burn like a fire in me. Do we really want Him to burn like a fire in us? May our answer today and always be yes.

"I will give thanks to you, LORD, with all my heart, I will tell of all your wonderful deeds. I will be glad and rejoice in you; I will sing praises of your name, O Most High."
Psalm 9:1-2
