The truth is, while Melanie and I were taking our usual on-the-trail picture, we added a new catch-phrase after the usual "Say cheese!" After we took our before-the-big-news picture, Teesh then said, "Okay, now say 'Anna's pregnant!'" Her mouth dropped open, and she immediately burst into the most joyful tears I'd ever seen her cry. I loved this day so, so much, and I'll never, ever forget sharing this once-in-a-lifetime moment with my sisterfriend, better known now as Auntie Mel.
