This Independence Day was the happiest out of all the others, because we had a new member of the family celebrating with us! We began our adventures at Grandpa + Sandra's house, and Braxton experiened a real swimming pool for the first time. How exciting! He was a little unsure about it at first, but he was kicking + splashing in no time at all. His bright blue eyes looked even bluer + brighter as they reflected off of the water, and it took every ounce of self-control I had not to smooch his face off.
We ended our day at Marc + Mandy's house with most of the Phillips clan, and we took another dip in the pool. I'm telling you, swimming is so much more fun with a kiddo! In addition to B having fun with all of his cousins, he even had his first taste of something other than milk! Watermelon quickly became our little guy's best friend. We ended the day with a friendly firework competition with the neighbors.
