It's been quite some time since I've sat in front of a computer for more than a few minutes, and it's been even longer since I've been able to write in anything besides my bed-side table diary. But, now, here I am. And not only that, but I've returned with a husband AND a new name! That's right, ladies and gentlemen, I now have a last name that very few people pronounce correctly on their first attempt.
Bargeron.
It's simple, really. Let me break it down for you.
Bar. Ger. On.
See, that wasn't so bad, now was it? :)
The best part about having that last name is the handsome fella that comes along with it. After more than ten years of Troy Jerome Bargeron being my best friend + boyfriend + fiance, he now has the title of husband. I'll say it again....HUSBAND! (that was more for my sake than yours--it's still hard to believe that it's finally a reality!)
Since July 16th, 2011 (which was fifteen days ago, just so you know), I have been on some pretty incredible adventures. Story time begins...now. :o)
St. Lucia was my home for a week. And not just any home, but the most beautiful home I've ever been able to call mine. Teesh and I were S-P-O-I-L-E-D R-O-T-T-E-N for seven whole days, and it was terribly hard to leave. I'd post all our pictures if I could, but 500 snapshots might be a little overwhelming, so here are a few of our favorites.
Magical. That's truly what it was. And there is no one I'd rather have had by my side than my sweet (and very handsome) husband.
We were lazy and beach bums and terrified of the way St. Lucians drive and fat from all the food we ate (all. day. long.) and referred to each other as "husband" and "wife" every five seconds and soaked in every single moment in paradise. It was a brilliantly perfect week that followed an even more spectacular wedding weekend.
And now, here we are, back in reality. At least that what people keep telling us. I just grin and chuckle to myself every time someone says "Well, I hope you enjoyed it, because now you're in the real world," because I know something they don't. Our reality is better than most people's wildest dreams and fantasies. I get to wake up every morning next to the man of my dreams and come home to him every night. I get to laugh with him and fight with him and flirt with him and tell him I love him and hear him say he loves me and pray with him and pray for him and do so many other things for the rest of my life. Most realities are nothing special, but ours is going to be out of this world. I'm ready for any "real world," just as long as I can live in it with my sweetheart.
“Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it."
Matthew 7:13-14
