dunk'd.

Today was beautiful, but not just because the sky was blue and cloudless. I'm so proud to call Capstone Church mine, and this Sunday was just one of the millions and millions of reasons why. We had our second Dunk'd service of the year, and nine people went through the waters of baptism. It is so encouraging to witness people shamelessly proclaim their love for Jesus in front of hundreds of people. It requires one to be bold and courageous, and I never get tired of seeing people commit themselves to those two qualities.

Following our service, everyone was invited to stick around and do a little tailgating. There was enough food to feed an army, and the parking lot was filled with the most delicious aroma my nose has smelled in quite some time. Mmmm, I can't think of many things that make me happier than the smell of charcoal. Especially when it's in the midst of your favorite people, those who you have the pleasure of walking through life with.

The Bargerons are both proud and honored to be partners in this moment of Jesus called Capstone Church.

carlyn.

Today, we celebrated sweet Carlyn and her fourth birthday. Lots of fun was had by all, and all the dozens of little ones running around made for the best entertainment. We are so blessed to get to call so many wonderful people our friends, and today was a reminder of just how important the little moments really are.

For Carlyn's birthday this year, her family choose to take an alternative route to presents. Read this, and let your heart be filled with joy and moved to do the same.

ladies and gentlemen, may I present to you the oh-so-lovely Stoddard family, cute as can be!

first round.

This was the time we watched the first round of the 2012 NFL Draft from the field at the Bank of America Stadium, home of the Carolina Panthers. Not only that, but we also got to tour the locker room and weight room, pretending all the while that we were simply visiting old friends. Lucky for us, we even ran into some friends from home (real friends this time, I promise).

We always feel right at home in this part of Queen City.

introducing the newbies.

This was our first day in Wilmington, complete with our new duo who quickly began calling it the greatest place on earth, as well. We slept in, visited the farmer's market that could charm anyone, ate lunch at our favorite, favorite, favorite spot, shopped 'til we dropped, had drinks mid-day simply because Robert Downey Jr. was dining nearby, honored National Record Day, toured our most beloved  Tree Hill locations, enjoyed dinner at another favorite spot, had a mini-spelling lesson, and ended the evening with a glass of the most delicious Moscato ever made. It was the perfect day, filled with both surprises and traditions.

This place has my whole heart. So do these girls.
